2026 – 2027 Transfer Requests

THE FOLLOWING CAMPUSES AND/OR GRADE LEVELS ARE CLOSED TO TRANSFERS

COLT ELEMENTARY - Colt Elementary is not accepting any New to MFISD transfer requests for the 2026 - 2027 School Year.  

Exception - New students that have a sibling already at Colt Elementary as an approved transfer and/or a parent or guardian that is a staff member at Colt Elementary may be considered - space permitting.

PRE-K 3, PRE-K 4 AND KINDERGARTEN AT ALL ELEMENTARY CAMPUSES - MFISD is not accepting New to MFISD transfer requests for students entering into PK3, PK4 and KINDER at any elementary campus.  

Exception - PK3, PK4 and Kinder students that have a sibling already at the requested elementary campus as an approved transfer and/or a parent or guardian that is a staff member at the requested elementary campus may be considered - space permitting. 

2026 - 2027 OUT-OF-DISTRICT TRANSFER REQUEST FORM

This form is for:

NEW OUT-OF-DISTRICT TRANSFER – NEW TO MFISD STUDENT:

• New out of district transfer student living outside of the Marble Falls ISD boundaries.  Documentation from previous/current school required.

CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT TRANSFER:

• A student who was previously enrolled in Marble Falls ISD, has moved outside district boundaries, and wishes to continue attending an MFISD campus.

2026 – 2027 NEW INTRA-DISTRICT ELEMENTARY TRANSFER REQUEST FORM

This form is for:

NEW INTRA-DISTRICT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TRANSFER:

• A student living within Marble Falls ISD boundaries but requesting to attend an elementary campus other than the one assigned to their address.

RETURNING STUDENT TRANSFER:

• Parents/Guardians of RETURNING transfer students were sent an email on April 13, 2026, with the Returning Student Transfer link. If you believe you should have received this email but did not, please contact transfers@mfisd.org and include your student’s name, the MFISD campus attended during the 2025 – 2026 school  year, and your zoned campus.
• Returning Student Transfer requests are due by June 30, 2026.

When considering a transfer request please keep the following in mind:

• Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
• The following factors will be reviewed: attendance (including tardies), discipline, academic performance, staffing, and campus/classroom availability.
• Falsification of information or other relevant factors, as determined by the Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent, may impact approval.
• Approval is granted for one school year only (2026–2027), and will be reviewed at the end of each semester for compliance.
• Transfers will be monitored and may be revoked at any time.
• Approval in a previous year does not create an expectation of approval in future years.
• Students must follow all district rules and regulations. Violations may result in a transfer being denied, revoked, or not approved in future years.
• The district may assign students to a campus based on district needs.
• Approved out-of-district transfer students attending Highland Lakes Elementary, Spicewood Elementary, Marble Falls Middle School, or Marble Falls High School may access centralized bus pickup/drop-off locations. Registration with the MFISD Transportation Department is required, and a link will be provided upon approval.
• Approved intra-district elementary transfer students (those living within MFISD but attending a different campus than zoned) are not eligible for district transportation. Transportation for these students is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
